Pros

The only pro about working for Acima was the relationships that you made with your customers out in the field.

Cons

There is absolutely no job security. They do not care or invest at all in their outside employees and the benefits are awful unless you live in Salt Lake City. They hire ASM's to go out in the field and enroll customer after customer. After a month or two, you realize that the goals they assign are unattainable and you realize that you have been set up for failure. After they let you go, the inside team handles all the accounts that you have enrolled across your state. It is a never-ending cycle. Most everyone that I started off working with was let go during my time with the company. They try to bring on sales professionals by offering them a nice salary. Do not take the bait unless you are looking for shot-term employment. The turnover rate has to be close to 100%.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with Acima. Our Area Sales Managers (ASMs) are very important to us and, contrary to what you posted, we do a good job of providing clear attainable performance requirements and supporting the ASMs in achieving those requirements. We have put a great deal of effort into defining the production volume of an ASM, and we've set those findings as our monthly performance requirements. We have found that if an ASM puts in the effort these requirements are easily attained. In fact, in August 2017, 89% of ASM's hit their production requirements. The average ASM also hit 133% of their requirements. We definitely expect a lot of all our employees, but we don't set anything outside their reach. Those who are successful have a great experience, make good money, and do a lot to contribute to our success.
