Pros
Work hours are good. Basically zero overtime. Get there late, take a long lunch, and leave early. Free soda is nice, too. If you're one of the lucky ones, then the office is recently remodeled.
Cons
Upper management is terrible and the CEO is doing nothing about it. Sales has a 1990s mentality. Engineering keeps letting the same people make the same mistakes over and over again. They are also cheap. They do everything they can to pay you as little as possible and refuse to pay for tools to do your job. They make decisions in a vacuum without feedback. It's the same people making bad decisions over and over again. They continue to push good talent out the door. We keep losing all of our best people, but nothing is changing and management won't even acknowledge it. The open door policy is a lie. They accept anonymous questions and sugggestions, but they don't answer them or acknowledge them. So instead, we need to write glass door reviews. There's also plenty of terrible middle management. I'm shocked at just how bad they are. But I still place blame in upper management for doing a bad job of hiring and not having the backbone to fire people. The actual products are outdated and difficult to sell. The new product that released days ago is already so far behind the competition, it's ridiculous. Forget hitting your numbers.
