Flexible: you never have to take a job if you don't want it. Also you are in charge of the interactions with clients, so you can reschedule if needed.
Cons
Private tutors are hired on as independent contractors, so they have to withhold taxes on their own. Sometimes there's not much work where you are at, so you have to travel.
