Pros

Abridge has one of the most meaningful missions I've had the opportunity to be part of. The product is genuinely world-class and has the potential to fundamentally improve the lives of clinicians by reducing administrative burden and allowing them to spend more time with patients. It's incredibly rewarding to know the work has a real impact. The people are another standout. I had the privilege of working alongside some of the smartest, most collaborative, and mission-driven colleagues of my career. Finally, Shiv deserves tremendous credit. He is one of the most inspirational leaders I've ever worked for. The culture he built in the early days was something special—high-performing, humble, customer-focused, and deeply mission-oriented. That culture was a major reason many of us joined and stayed.

Cons

The company's rapid growth has come with growing pains, particularly within the commercial organization. As the company scaled, there were a number of management hires that, in my opinion, were not aligned with the culture that originally made Abridge exceptional. The commercial team, in particular, has changed dramatically over the past year. The culture has shifted from one that encouraged healthy debate and problem-solving to one where questioning decisions or raising legitimate concerns is often interpreted as negativity. There is a strong expectation to constantly reinforce the narrative that everything is perfect. Employees who offer constructive criticism or identify operational challenges can find themselves labeled as not being team players rather than having their feedback thoughtfully considered. This dynamic discourages honest communication, makes it harder to solve real problems, and creates an environment where people become hesitant to speak up.

Pros

Abridge has one of the best cultures I've experienced! The people are smart, mission driven, and genuinely care about the problem we're solving in healthcare. There's a real sense of collaboration. People are quick to jump in and help each other out, and it doesn't feel political. Leadership is transparent about company direction and celebrates wins across teams, not just at the top. I also feel like my work actually matters here, which keeps me motivated day to day.

Cons

Like any fast growing company, things move quickly and priorities can shift, so you need to be comfortable with some ambiguity.

Pros

Compensation and benefits remain competitive. The company is also home to many talented and capable colleagues who are a pleasure to work with. The mission and level of ambition are still compelling, and they continue to be the primary reasons many employees remain committed to the organization

Cons

This company was once an exceptional place to work, with strong execution and the resources needed to succeed. Unfortunately, it now feels like an organization struggling to stay on course. The decline in culture has been particularly striking. As recently as last year, the work environment was highly positive and aligned with many of the favorable reviews posted here. However, over the past months, a number of senior leaders have departed, and the company has encountered significant challenges. As a result, the culture has deteriorated at an alarming pace. One of the most concerning issues is the company’s apparent difficulty managing growth. Several leadership hires made over the past year have had a negative impact on the organization, with the most recent addition being especially problematic. Employee dissatisfaction is becoming increasingly evident.
