The company has the money to be stable and provide several specialist to help us in the sales area. Ability to work remotely, not coming into the office each day.
Cons
Our office runs such a lean team, that our project managers/engineers are overloaded on their work load. This causes many mistakes, thus margin erosion on the jobs and profit for the projects. When a project goes in the red, others are not held accountable like salesmen are. Nothing says OUCH, like lost of MONEY. Our commission goes down, but the PM, PE and technician that are responsible for the margin erosion don't feel the pain. Unfair and needs to be changed. Especially, since we don't control the issues that cause the margin erosion. Goes back to some of the issues are that the PM and PE are so overloaded that they miss things causing overnight shipments, RMA's and missing equipment once arriving on site. Having to use to many sub contractors, which means our quality of installation isn't always to our standards. We need more assistance to help in sales. Salesman are doing to many not related sales stuff that could be done by assistant, allowing more time to be a salesman. For instance: billing/invoicing, research, product status, reports, etc.
