Pros

Casual work environment. Compensation is market value.

Cons

Incredibly dishonest company. Management severely lacking in personal integrity. Many promises made during the hiring process that will not be kept once hired. The office has less than 20 people and has a high school clique dynamic. Vice President / General Manager Jim Annes, who runs AVAD, should be relieved of his duties along with his direct reports who have fostered a very hostile work environment. Management is very territorial and thin-skinned. Ongoing turf wars between departments make it nearly impossible to accomplish goals. Managers are more interested in asserting their authority than achieving results. Those who attempt to address the problems or provide solutions will be blackballed and punished. If you really need the money, accept the job, but have a six month exit strategy. This place will drain you mentally and spiritually. Money is only a temporary motivator. Eventually, you want to work where you are respected and in turn respect the people with whom you work. This is not that place.

Pros

Some remaining team members try to help each other. If the recruiting pitch were actually true then it would be "start up energy with 20 years of industry leadership. With deep pocket investors and wealth to be made. 2 experienced owners that are committed daily by being hands on" None of which is true.

Cons

Revenue drop of 50% in 2 years. Customer attrition of more than 50%. Unethical finance practices with top tier manufacturer partners, as well as holding AP checks until vendors complain on a regular basis. Employee morale is non existent. Dealers routinely call or write to vent their disappointment with the branches and the poor customer service. The competition is doing everything better. The only ones who won't accept it is the executive team whose inflated egos aren't talented nor smart enough to right the ship nor hold themselves accountable. Benefits are bad. Pay is average. New branches are smaller & in bad locations.
