Worst Management Experience I Have Ever Had - Office Job ATG Entertainment Employee Review

Pros

There are no pros. From all these 5 star reviews, it appears the man who had my job last (who managed to last a couple weeks before quitting) did not write one.

Cons

Abysmal pay that is well below the industry standard. Terrible work environment. No privacy (you are constantly monitored by surveillance gear). Strange cell phone policy. The (micro)manager has issues with releasing control (one time he double checked to make sure I taped a label to the back of a lid straight and he even made a video of how to take out the trash in the office). There are many more poor things I can say about this manager, like how all of your questions will be answered with another question (even in training), but I can only pray for the next ambitious young professional who makes the mistake of accepting a job at this poorly run company.

ATG strives to maintain a culture and environment where our team can be passionate and enjoy their work, unfortunately we understand we are not the right fit for everyone. It doesn’t sound like this person enjoyed the 6 days he worked with us, but it kind of makes us wonder what he was expecting when he asked to work here in the first place. It sounds like some expectations may not have been clear. So, for future prospects, here are a few of our expectations: - Show up on time (especially on your first week), so that we can make good memories for our clients. - Be ready to learn. Rest assured that we have an extensive training program made up of manuals, in person training, and yes even lots of videos that will only clarify our expectations for you even further and help you go a long way within our company if you take them seriously. - Be teachable. Our clients expect the best, so yes we will check your work (especially on your first week) to make sure we are sending out a quality service. - Understand that your first week (or maybe even two), yes we will be watching what you do to ensure that you have everything to succeed in your role. The con to that is if you are not working, it could make you look bad. - Be aware of the "strange cell phone policy" that we have, where we actually expect our team to work instead of sitting around texting friends all day and surfing social media (if that seems strange to you, we are definitely not the right fit for you). Even though we are a company built to help our clients have fun, we do take our work seriously.

Pros

The staff of ATG is close and cooperate as if they were working the line at a restaurant. Every event is awe-inspiring and it is a great thing to see so many people genuinely happy because of the night you set up for them. Besides the money, what you can learn from working with ATG is worth much more, you will be faced with problems and it will be up to you to find creative ways to solve them. At the same time ATG excels at maintaining consistencies in and out of events, which makes working as a DJ easier than ever yet still enough of a challenge to enjoy. You will meet many wonderful people in and out of the industry and you will get to be a part of many magical moments in peoples lives. Since i began working here i have watched the company evolve as I also grew beside it and even now i still see big things in store, the possibilities here are endless.

Cons

I have no complaints, and i do not consider this a problem but working here does add miles to your car because you will drive to and from events. I do not consider this a con but it's as close as i could come to one considering miles on your car isnt really a pro
