If you have no experience in whatever field you are volunteering, it's a great way to get your foot in the door. Most people are there for genuine reasons and have a lot of passion for what they do. Everyone, aside from the founder, is so incredibly nice and willing to help with everything. Amazing work environment when Mika, the founder, is not involved

Horrible HORRIBLE founder. The founder Mika places herself in every part of the organization which in theory sounds amazing but in reality just doesn't work because no one can be perfectly versed in everything. She mixes up tasks, assigns tasks multiple times despite them being done and telling her multiple times, she always is confused, always late to meetings and is a horrible meeting facilitator not they always go over time without fail, cannot communicate well and clearly, and worst of all extremely unprofessional. Mika was speaking to me in a rude and unprofessional manner when I was very confused with what she was asking me and told her i was sorry but i didnt understand. I then told her to not speak to me that way and I was going to ask the hiring team if I could leave the internship early because of her continued and constant unprofessionalism and constant issues with clarity. I was the lead at the time and leading a very important website redesign and when I told her this she not even 5 minutes later deleted all my accounts without warning me or letting me tell my team or anyone in the organization she kicked me out. I was them forced to tell my team over linkedin instead of the companies slack what had happened to which they said Mika hadnt told anyone, including the hiring team who never saw my messages since my account was deleted before they could view it, anything that happened. I couldn't contact HR with screenshot of our conversation because there is no HR in this organization Additionally, Mika very outwardly speaks poorly about other team members instead of having compassion for their situation or speaking this way to people who are not their peers and teammates. Additionally largely due to Mika there is a lot of miscommunication within the organization which leads to a lot of unorganization and confusion across teams which when Mika was confortnted about shifted the blame to everyone else and refused to work with others to make the organization of tasks and communication better.
