Have to clean up after class and those hours are not paid

Get to teach some kids who are talented and genuinely love art.

The art teaching role requires an art background and a graduate from art school but only pays $14/hr. Super rigid rules. We are required to arrived 5 mins early (unpaid) but when clock in late for only 1 min, $6 is deducted AND every minute is calculated and deducted prorated from monthly pay. When the teaching session ends, we are expected to stay behind to clean up and sweep etc and this can take up to 15mins to 30mins. These extra time we put in is out of our own pocket, we’re not paid yet we cannot leave on the dot. We are penalised ($35 deducted from pay) if we can’t turn up due to emergency or we have to cancel or reschedule a class, but the school can cancel our class last minute. Horrible workplace ethics.
