Pros
SUMMARY
👥 Great people & team culture
🚀 Interesting, meaningful projects
📈 Growth opportunities
🗓️ Flexible schedules
💰 Fair compensation & benefits
I joined the Mission Applications business unit (formerly The Stratagem Group) without knowing anyone here. Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to work across many projects and technical areas, and I’ve grown professionally more here than anywhere else in my career.
👥 People & Culture
One of the best parts of working here is the people. The teams are not only talented, but supportive and collaborative. You don’t feel like just a number — people genuinely want you to succeed.
🚀 Meaningful Work
It’s easier to feel pride in what you’re building when you know the work matters and isn’t just about revenue.
Cons
🕵️ Defense Industry Realities
Much of the work is in classified environments, and customer approvals can take longer than I'd like.
⏳ External Deadlines
Schedules can sometimes be driven by customer timelines rather than engineering timelines.
🔄 Growing Pains
The business unit has grown quickly, so processes and policies sometimes evolve while we adapts to scale. Occasionally that creates a bit of “swirl.”
🔥 Busy Periods
There are times when workloads increase around deadlines. It’s not constant, but it does happen.
