Is this your company?

Working here left a bitter taste in my mouth. - Legal Transcriber ANP Transcriptions Employee Review

Pros

Steady stream of work and the workflow regarding assignments and scheduling is good.

Cons

Management are snakes, and I'm not just referring to the way they didn't pay on time. I once got billed $30 for a "rush job" that I worked on for 8 hours (all night) which I didn't even get paid for at my regular rate, because the boss thought my work wasn't "up to standard" and I got penalized at my regular rate rather than the premium rate I was promised, despite what my WORK CONTRACT said. Also despite working on a "team" there is a huge lack of support and empathy; there is no outlet to connect with the people you work with and it seems like the team leaders are only there to jump on you when something goes wrong. Finally when I stopped working there, the fear of not getting my last paycheck was real.

Pros

ANP has made some recent changes in management which has resulted in positive changes within the company. Payment is now being made every 30 days. There were delays on payment in the past but I was always paid. The company is moving in a direction that will promote growth. The pay is very competitive with other companies. I am a contract employee do I can work the hours I choose.

Cons

Audio can be challenging at times with diverse accents and multiple speakers but this is just a small portion of the work. The majority of the work is fairly easy to transcribe.
