Pros
The environment and people are very friendly. Everything is casual and it is fairly easy to snag upper management for a few words if you need to. Great work life balance as deadlines seem to always be fudgable. Benefits are good and atmosphere makes you feel like family. Reduced priced catered lunch. Places to take a break if you need to stop thinking for a minute (volleyball court, basketball court, ping pong and fussball tables). You get to see a lot of new technology work with most of the major hardware manufacturers, which gives some variation in task and challenges. Even the individuals who had to be laid off (after a bad quarter) were assisted by HR for months afterwards to help them get new jobs with other companies.
Cons
Its a place to feel like family.. in saying that you are appreciated but not paid for. Compensation is on the lower end but reasonable as it seems to be pretty low stress. Being a mid sized company a bad quarter for sales could mean your job though. Also project management seems to be done pseudo by committee causing feature creep and delays to be the norm. Also it seems to be a company mantra that 80% quality is good enough.
