The resourcing model structure at AMS is different to other RPO's and I'm not sure it's suited to me as an individual. My role is extremely transactional and not very challenging unfortunately. However, although I've addressed this with my manager, given my background is more broad and I could add value elsewhere, there doesn't seem to be much uptake to utilise my skills elsewhere so far.
Nobody has taken time to talk me through objectives, although I was made to fill out a form shortly after joining, or the career path within the organisation so far so it's unclear to me what is expected from me and where I could take my career. I can't say this is unique to AMS as I think a lot of organisations fall in this trap of forgetting about employees once they are in the door.
I was shocked when my manager made it clear to me he knew about my application to another company, where it happens AMS looks after the HR recruitment, as the job wasn't with AMS. Doesn't seem Data Protection legislation is observed, as clearly someone told my manager about my application. This is atrocious and makes me questions the morals and values of the organisation.
It's a very political environment on my account and people play favourites. Reminds me of being back at school, where you have to be in with the "cool kids" to be accepted and be seen by management, your work out put is secondary.
We have no access to AMS systems at the client account so can't access knowledge base etc so I can't access training courses or internal systems.
