Poor, immature leadership. Always short staffed. Burn out concerns from employees is blamed on the employee, and told to 'just deal with it, because everyone is burned out'.
Big corporation, solely focused on burn and churn type model to maximize revenue at the expense of patient care and staff safety. Only good for experience with hospital inpatient acute population. If you have a license (LPC/LCPC, MSW/LCSW) , go elsewhere. Education/credentials and clinical experience are not valued here. What is valued is being a physically big person, able to physically fight/square up with aggressive patients, and don't mind feeling unsafe when you are threatened by aggressive patients. Management just focuses on getting as many patients admitted as possible regardless of the conditions that staff have to deal with once the pt's are admitted and insurance dollars get flowing (e.g. approving/admitting a patient that is too acute for the current conditions of an already acute milieu that is clearly too short staffed to deal with it). Poor leadership is ruining the value of the treatment and reputation of Alexian Brothers inpatient hospital.
