Pros

Unrivalled level of responsibility for those fresh out of university. Remuneration fantastic. Great start to a career as a business leader.

Cons

Can be a very lonely job, only saw my peers a handful of times over my 8 months with the company. It is easy to build good relationships with the store employees you train with and lead but it is never the same rapport with subordinates as it would be with peers. Despite the training period apparently having become more 'holistic', expect long hours and, due to shift patterns, an end to any social life you had.

Pros

Great pay Hours were always there The manager at my location is a rare gem. Never had a boss quite like him. Everyone I worked with became like my family.

Cons

EXTREMELY physically demanding. I injured myself multiple times while I worked there.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
