Pros

I could say the hourly salary, but believe me: it is not worth the stress and humiliation

Cons

working at the cash desk is a true nightmare: no drinks allowed (not even water!) even if you have to stay there for 5 hours straight; no space next to the till in order to force the customers to THROW the items inside their trolley/basket themselves and as fast as possible; you have a target in terms of number of items scanned per minute and the receipts do not even show the change (so if you mess it up because you are working like a pinball, that will stay on your personal file); and the imposition of getting your face shaven except for some 'Religious' reasons is even racist

Pros

Great pay Hours were always there The manager at my location is a rare gem. Never had a boss quite like him. Everyone I worked with became like my family.

Cons

EXTREMELY physically demanding. I injured myself multiple times while I worked there.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
