Pros
I would list them but there is nothing positive accept that are plenty of opportunities for minorities who are willing to deal with the problems.
Cons
The best way to describe the management culture at AJ Squared here is describe the group text I received, sent to all guards at a construction location, on my second day. The text was full of phrases written in all caps and sentences with exclamation points throughout, unacceptable communications and profession behavior in any work environment, but apparently okay here. They draw you to interview with them misrepresenting the pay in a sneaky way: they pay you what they listed on Indeed, but then they take out "Union fees" - I was never contacted by this "union" in any way, at any point - if anyone report them to the Department of Labor they may receive a hefty fine, something which certainly used to happen, to that agency's credit. Working here you may find your workweek shorted ab entire shift of part of a shift. No explanation is given. When it happened to me, I followed their instructions, sending pay stubs to HR, and, after bouncing back and forth with several people in management, nothing is resolved. But they did invite me to drive to the other side of the state to "discuss" it with them in person, after they already showed no interest in resolving it, and of course had never received a complaint that I missed my shift, which would prove their paycheck was correct. Needless to say, I was never compensated for ten plus hours of work, over $170.00 pay. Working conditions involve eight hour shift in chairs that are tilted, falling apart, casing back pain with multiple workers, and are never replaced despite the please and the glut of unused office chair swamping the state due to the new stay-at-home work culture. AJ Squared corporate HR utterly has failed to create a culture of Title VII legal compliance among their various management staff. The management in the New Jersey office recently acted illegally in not granting me a day off for a legitimate religious observation connected with Passover, ignoring all requests, calls, and emails with filled-out time-off-request forms attached, then terminating me when I did not come to work that day. My advice to minorities who may want to advance in the security field is that you do not want to work for a company whose culture shows a disdain for others - a certain contempt for security guards, as that attitude will come to infect you as well. It's not worth it. There are opportunities elsewhere.
