Pros

You will receive a paycheck.

Cons

There used to be somewhat of a respectful environment here but the company was bought by new owners in 2013 and since then, the climate has changed significantly. There is a strong distrust in employees and in my opinion, employees are set up to fail and almost expected to fail. There is a lot of micromanagement and lack of appreciation for the strengths and abilities that long-time employees bring to the table. Morale is low and people are continually asked to do more and more work yet salaries are not increasing. People are being let go for "lack of work" with absolutely no warning, yet their job responsibilities are being redistributed to others within the company. It is a harsh environment with demanding personalities among leadership, poor definition of roles for employees, and little to no respect for families. I feel badly for the people still working there and hear them describe their work experience as feeling perpetually stressed and under controlling leadership.

Pros

Some of the best reasons: The work day was fast paced and productive. The rather small team of 9 or so sales and service reps were friendly and helpful. Arrival time was not strict I was able to come in at 8 or 9:00 am and work as many hours as I wanted as long as I put in a full work day. It was very challenging to offer really good customer service and make enough outbound calls to make decent commissions.

Cons

Some downsides included: Lower commission potential due to more than a few changes in the compensation plan. Unrealistic sales goals set by new sales management. Tight quarters where everyone heard most everything going on on the sales and service floor. An atmosphere where dishonestly coding your orders and how they were acquired resulted in a disadvantage to honest representatives. Team divided into multiple responsibilities erasing the tight bond and group effort that was established prior which created unfair advantages and false pecking orders.
