Pros

They do have good benefits, but you have to pay a lot for them. Cannot think of a single other good thing to say about this company.

Cons

Their headquarters in Rochester, NY is filthy! It took a complaint made to OSHA and an outside vendor who came in to do some work and complained to management how filthy the workplace was in order for them to finally try to do something about it. Even the cleaning company they hired left because ADT would not take their suggestions on how to clean the place. Unfathomable how filthy this building is and how they expect their employees to work in such conditions. They have an 86% turnover rate each year. That should wake the company up that they are certainly doing something wrong. No wonder TYCO cut all ties with this company. Since the split, we were told we would not get our yearly raise in January until 4 months later due to the split. Certainly not our fault. In addition, we were told that all of our schedules would change and the company would assign us a new schedule, no matter what schedule we were hired at. I am sure the turnover rate raised even higher than 86% after that. If the new schedule assigned to us did not fit our lifestyle (many are single mothers and fathers and were given ridiculous schedules such as 4:00 in the morning until 12:30 in the afternoon, certainly not workable for a single parent raising children), we were asked to voluntarily quit. And that I did. We lost half of the team of 18 people that I worked on in one week. There is way too many "management" people there. They gather around a managers cubicle and chat for hours. Employees call this the "chat circles". They certainly are not "chatting" about how to better manage their employees or any company business. The level of obesity of all the employees there is absolutely astounding. It's very sad that the CEO who makes over 6 million a year cannot make a trip to this call center and make some executive decisions, which I thought was his job to do, to keep this company in business. Such a shame! I doubt this company can sustain itself against their competitors due to the way it is mismanaged, the dissatisfaction of their employees, and the alarming turnover rate which continues to escalate.

Pros

I've worked for the company for 40+ years, I'm treated with respect and my efforts are recognized by my Director and other ADT leaders. They give me the autonomy to manage my department and value my experience and insight. They offer a solid benefits package. ADT leads by example with their cultural markers and ensures that rules and laws are followed. I love the collaboration I have with our other departments.

Cons

Obviously, we all want more money, especially given the prices of everything, it's always nice to make more money, but I've checked the compensation and benefits in similar positions outside of ADT and I feel ADT is paying a fair wage and when I factor in the benefits package, they are above average in overall compensation.
