Pros
Good route into Finance/Accounting/Tax in London for foreign nationals Historical client base is well recognised Founder is very intelligent and switched on if not hands on
Cons
-No career progression - Company has been operating to cut costs rather than grow revenue for a long time now, with results as you would expect. -Take advantage of foreign nationals looking for employment in the UK to pay well below market rate - "28 days holiday" advertised as a benefit when it is the minimum legal requirement (20 days statutory leave + 8 days bank holiday). -Secretive and inept Leadership team who have done little to deserve their influence past cling to Founder's coat-tails for long enough to be considered important. - No interest in investing or growing people - Aggressive and threatening attitude towards employees at times - Losing clients faster than they can lay off employees and outsource work - Most work is outsourced offshore with clients not told that their work is being completed by people outside the company - Incredibly sexist/misogynistic atmosphere, most junior positions were filled by women based on their physical appearance -Incredibly archaic set up reminds you of the City in the 90s -Huge attrition rate with no replacement of staff. In period of joining to handing in notice employee base dropped nearly 80% with all work outsourced. - Junior staff overworked and underappreciated. - Bonus structure encourages infighting among staff based on revenue allocation -
