Pros

- Offers a Pension after 5 years -Comparable health insurance to market average -HSA account with company yearly contributions -Company paid travel to headquarters if you work remote per quarter (post-Covid) -Work from Home options -Open-door policy with VP and others of the ELT team -Partially paid phone/internet bill if WFH - Openly acknowledges own shortcomings and wants to address them - Excellent "team/family" feeling across the organization - Management and leaders listen to feedback and are accepting of "pain-points" and "grips" employees are facing - Very good pay -Company paid college tuition, for directly applicable course work, however, I have not met a single person that has used it. - Very engaging President, very open to new ideas, and very vocal about things that need to change.

Cons

-Very outdated processes and technology -many redundancies in process causing extra uneeded work - large turnover as a result of item 1 and 2 above - lack of global standardization for the same processes. No regional communications between departments sending and receiving things to each other - General lack of communication/warning/forecasting for things going on - Extremely reactive, and very little proactive sight - While shortcomings are acknowledged, they take a very long time to actually be corrected or improved upon. Agreed upon timelines are always being pushed out due to "technical difficulties" - Very high workload. Once you have a full case load, extremely hard to be effective at your associated tasks while also trying to maintain a normal work-life balance - Some executive leaders had ZERO clinical trial experience when they were hired into the organization - Merit raise is every 2 years (rather than yearly) and is a paltry 2% on average. This is very below market average -Extremely lackluster onboarding/training program. Very "sink or swim" mindset. - Ever department is always behind, and yet barely has any support within them. Internal departments are not held to the same accountability as PMs are in regards to responsiveness and quality. Very "double-edged sword" mindset. - Nearly non-existent room for growth or lateral movement within the company

Pros

The company continues to grow and evolve. The culture has improved a lot rather quickly and it's for the better. The good days outweigh the bad days.

Cons

There can be a fluctuation in workload in the blink of an eye. Not all associates carry the same load, and high performers sometimes do not stand out. Pay is decent, not great, not bad, but decent.

Pros

There are very few positives about ACM outside of the steady income. The two things that made this position even a little bearable was the hybrid flexibility and a helpful team.

Cons

ACM is an unbelievably toxic environment. Employees are expected to carry heavy workloads for minimal pay. Management is not only incompetent and unreliable, but will micromanage to the fullest extent. When my team was drowning, we brought our concerns to executive leadership directly. From there we thought we'd finally experience some relief as two more team members were approved. However that relief was proven temporary when our annual "raise" came the following year. Myself and others were told that we'd be receiving .1% more than the guaranteed Cost of Living increase. We were told that because the amount of work we had completed was halved, we deserved much less of a raise than the year prior. Our team had grown, the workload was manageable, yet I felt like we were being punished for our team growing. This leads me into my next gripe. There are VERY few opportunities to grow with ACM. Nearly every "middle-level" position has been erased. So when the opportunity for growth did present itself, you were unlikely to be promoted due to lack of experience. However, without middle-level positions, the specific experience needed could not be gained. When this was brought up to executive leadership, I was told that in order to grow, I would need to start learning the position beforehand. They expected me to jump at the opportunity to provide them with underpaid labor, WITHOUT the guarantee of actually being promoted. To recap- the workload was intense, management was incompetent, and career growth was nearly impossible. Working for this company had completely destroyed my mental health, and I would not recommend it to anyone. *As a warning: Multiple employees had gone to HR expressing difficulty affording groceries and other basic needs. Their response was to start an employee food pantry with the expectation that people would donate. They started a food pantry, maintained by employees who couldn't afford their own groceries. That's the kind of employee appreciation ACM participates in.
