Pros
As a startup, this place is very fast-paced, and to me, as my first job, it was a great place to pick up so many new skills and learn new things from different fields. I was given a lot of opportunities to lead projects, give my input/opinions on various issues and even help to make the company a better place to work in. Timing for the start of work is quite flexible, and you are in charge of your own responsibilities. This place really taught me how to be independent in my work, and I like that there is not a lot of micromanagement going on. You are constantly exposed to new ideas, new techniques, new advances in the field and it really helps to broaden your perspective in this profession as a researcher.
Cons
As this is a growing startup, there are systems that are not as well in place as other MNCs. Policies or SOPs are slowly getting implemented and it is going to take everyone's effort to establish them. Storage space for consumables is limited here and so is working space.
