Pros

The company is trying to grow and each concept is truly interesting and exciting.

Cons

I worked 6 days a week. We were severely micromanaged but not supported. We only had 1-2 actual managers per concept. We both work constantly. Stores have old management systems making things tedious and slow. Ownership is resistant to change. Quality of life in and out of the stores suffered from excessive hours and little support. There is tons of turnover in the company because managers get poor training, get burnt out fast and tired of feeling like there's no actual goals to achieve.

Pros

801 Restaurant Group is growing fast. There are plans in place to open quite a few new restaurants in the next year alone. New positions are being added frequently and there is a lot of upward growth for current employees. The pay is higher than most restaurants given the size and number of employees. Servers and Bartenders do well and tend to be the best in their field. Servers are highly encouraged to do weekly wine tastings and continually take time to improve wine and spirit knowledge. They are required to fully memorize everything on the food menu and the company holds very high standards. Any job with 801 is for those interested in a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry, not necessarily for those seeking part-time supplemental work.

Cons

Because the of growth in multiple cities, upward growth in the company may require travel and/or moving to different states. The pay comes with long hours, but not really any more than any other restaurant management position.

Pros

Pay was great, benefits were amazing, paid for parking.

Cons

It is corporate, things don't change much. it is a 55/hr work week even when it's slow.
