Pros

-Flexible working works great for parents. (also a lot of overtime: ask at the interview what the workload is like, your team is probably understaffed and overworked) -Low meetings: ok to decline a meeting invite -Good product and exciting vision -Good health/mental health insurance and app, learning budget, remote office budget -Some employees really are awesome

Cons

-MICROMANAGEMENT. Unheard of levels of micromanagement (yes, I checked with my network). Run away. It'll destroy your sleep, health, confidence in your work and yourself. -Terrible managers. They make you waste 2-3h a week having you redo details again and again because they're control freaks. First time in my 10+ y tech career where managers refuse to test out new ideas or systems, simply because it's not their idea in the first place. -Welcome to the tech grind. Crazy hours, understaffed teams, overstressed teams. -Heavy hierarchy, surprising for tech. You don't get a say in anything. -Most of the French team don't know how to work remotely and async, they never say pls or thank you or sorry. Big egos, refuse to hear different opinions. -Async work only works when people give clear instructions. Most French staff don't bother. Their English is good. Their "I know better than you" attitude isn't. -Convexity sounds great. In practice: "collaborative learning" = a big fat excuse for micromanagement. "Flexibleworking" = you'll work 15-20 hours extra per week. "Transparency" = managers criticizing your every move, even how you write your trello comments, often putting you down in public Trello comments. "Benevolence" = I've never worked with people (not all, but many) so mean and rude. Really disappointing. -No "warm and fuzzy" here. Teams are polite, won't go out of their way to make you feel included. (maybe different in non-tech teams)

Thank you for your candid feedback. We appreciate your positive remarks on our flexible working arrangements and benefits, and we're glad our vision and product resonated with you. We take your concerns about management and workplace culture seriously. We acknowledge that there are cross-cultural differences between teams in different geographies, and expect every 360Learner to both speak and listen with cross-cultural considerations in mind. We will keep training our teams on these topics.. Continuous improvement in our coaching practices is a priority, and we're committed to fostering an empowering environment. We are also conscious that our culture favors individual discipline to function asynchronously as a collective. Many discussions are transparent, which can be challenging for people who are not used to expressing disagreement and debating openly. If you have specific suggestions or would like to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to reach out to our HR department. We value your input and are dedicated to creating an environment where all team members feel supported and valued.

Pros

360Learning offers a remote-first, collaborative culture where transparency, autonomy, and personal growth are truly valued. The company is mission-driven, with a product that empowers organizations to learn and grow together — and they genuinely invest in learning internally as well. It’s a place where you can make an impact and feel supported doing it.

Cons

The pace can be intense and priorities shift quickly, which can lead to burnout if boundaries aren’t protected. Some processes and expectations—especially around performance—can feel ambiguous or inconsistently applied across teams. Leadership communication has improved but can still lack clarity or follow-through at times.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for recognizing the strengths you’ve experienced in our culture — especially our focus on transparency, autonomy, and learning. Performance management is, by nature, one of the hardest topics to get complete agreement on. Even with regular check-ins, clear frameworks, and open conversations, there will be times when an employee’s self-assessment doesn’t align with their manager’s evaluation. Transparency is something we work hard to uphold — but it doesn’t mean every conversation will lead to consensus. Our responsibility as a company is to ensure feedback is given early, consistently, and with concrete examples so expectations are clear. We’ll continue to strengthen that practice, while also recognizing successes as often as we address areas for improvement. Ultimately, our aim is to help every team member understand not just what is expected, but why — even when the discussion is a difficult one. If there are still unclear points or questions after a performance review, we strongly encourage team members to bring them directly to their HR partner or coach, so we can address them openly and constructively. Thanks again.
