Great company culture and work life balance, small company feel, variety of projects,

Cyclical in terms of workload but that is consulting in general

- Good pay and benefits, generally good WLB unless on a due diligence project (which were infrequent). Rare to go above 40-45 hrs a week - A mix of both technical and client-driven work if you're into that. Lots of opportunities to be in front of clients you won't get in other strictly "data science" roles - Flexible travel policy between offices, all costs reimbursed. Was always fun to visit DC whenever I wanted

- Not much innovation going on here. The model build process was very slow with little standardization across project to project; same goes for other project types. This made some engagements needlessly long and inefficient. Investing in building a code/knowledge base would have helped a lot; they had begun to push this around the time I left, although not nearly enough - Co-workers were always very nice and respectful, but didn't seem like they were passionate about what they did or the firm's mission - Inconsistent or mixed performance feedback - CEO had weird vibes. Came across as a bit arrogant and stuck-up to me; always talked about how great the firm was which I don't think was backed up by the quality of our work. Hard to relate to unless you played golf/were wealthy
