Pros

I've been part of the 1Password family in some capacity for over a year and there hasn't been a dull moment. The growth has been phenomenal, changes where needed as we scale, a virtual cruise, benefits added, and planning for the future. Another pro is being heard and able to grow the team. A desire and reality to be the best damn password manager out in the market place, and a new first for me as I use the product that is being sold at work and personally! As this company continues to hire talent and strengthen the financial position to continue to hire amazing people, I am proud to be apart of this company's journey. This company was also pretty remote before remote was a thing #trailblazer

Cons

There is a five word minimum -- but if I had to make a suggestion for improvement the 401(k) matching could see a bit more love..

Pros

- Awesome founders when they were involved in the day-to-day - Great benefits

Cons

- Lost a lot of what made this place special during the scale up from 100-1000 employees - Hired a ton of outside leadership which ultimately resulted in a culture shift and many of the people who worked there the longest leaving

Pros

* Flexible working arrangements and quite a bit of autonomy. * A genuinely supportive manager and a collaborative, positive team environment. * Competitive pay for the role and responsibilities.

Cons

In recent years the company has shifted in a direction that feels very different from the organisation I originally joined. * There is a strong emphasis on a “high performance culture”, but there is limited structure or support in place to help employees develop the skills needed to meet those expectations. * Career progression and compensation increases can feel closely tied to visibility rather than the quality or impact of the work itself. * The company is moving away from its fully remote approach. In-person events that were once optional are now mandatory, even for teams that may not directly benefit from them. The locations chosen do not always appear to consider the needs or circumstances of a globally distributed workforce, and employees are now required to go through formal accommodation processes simply to avoid international travel due to health or safety concerns.
