Pros
I've worked at 1910 for over two years now; one of the best parts of working here are the coworkers, all of whom are kind, collaborative and highly knowledgeable, and which includes the CEO, who leads the company in a transparent and engaging manner. The opportunities arising as a result of the science performed here are truly exciting and keep myself and my colleagues motivated. The benefits are great too. I've always felt supported by management as both my direct managers and CEO have helped me better define my role and outline steps for growth over the years. Taken all together, I think 1910 offers an enticing opportunity for a scientist, a highly supportive environment on the bleeding edge of technology.
Cons
In my time at 1910, the company has been through many phases characteristic of a startup. Early in my time here, roles could be ambiguous or projects tough to manage. Many of these issues have been resolved through a combination of hiring and infrastructure organization. Things are as streamlined as they have ever been and are poised to improve as the company expands and matures.
