Pros
It's a genuinely beautiful property. The pay is competitive and there are a lot of ways to move up in management if you want to. Some of the people there are great.
Cons
Extremely toxic workplace culture. When you first join, they tell you how they value their 'team members' just as much as their guests. But what they mean is they provide shiny facilities and pay that seems good on the surface until you realise how much work you have to do. There is absolutely no consideration of work life balance. The upper management are, overall, supremely unqualified, disorganised and more concerned with going out for networking drinks than actually doing their job. There is such a severe focus on optics and appearances that you are told to suppress all negative emotions while at work and always be 'on'. A kind of professionalism that isn't warranted to expect when upper management make no attempt to follow it. Many hiring decisions, including management, are made based on friendships or whether or not upper management think they're attractive. Leading to a culture of incompetency that values beauty and nepotism above all else. The way young female employees are talked about is an hr timebomb, honestly. Main takeaway, the sustainability and care for employees is a veneer. This business cares about optics and profit and nothing more.
