Some of the people are good at what they do. Others are terrible. Makes more work for others. We do a lot of events together as a company. Good benefits and PTO.
Cons
Where do I start? Not enough communication. Good people are leaving. We lost a lot of clients this year. Not sure if my job is safe. The culture is fake. The people who really care about others quit. Offices are closing. We were told by management to write phony reviews to make us look good. Some people working here need customer service training and sensitivity training on how to handle confidential information.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your candid feedback. Our culture is a very important piece of who we are as an organization and we strive to make EmPower HR a great place to work and grow. We can only get better as an organization with honest and open communication. It is always unfortunate when we have to part ways with our clients, but there can be a silver lining. Such as being able to work with those remaining clients who can truly benefit from our partnership, or bringing on new clients that will challenge us to be great. Our company-wide training initiative for 2016 is based on employee feedback, but it can always be improved upon. Again, thank you for your feedback. It will help us get to great.
The culture is so toxic that they give you free beer to try to make up for it, so I guess that’s a plus?
Cons
Expected to work insane hours with a ridiculous workload, everyone brags about overworking like it’s a badge of honor. All the departments are only trying to look out for themselves, so good luck trying to get help with any question. Do not recommend at all.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are disappointed to hear about your experience. We have implemented several programs to address these concerns including both leadership and employee burnout training. We also have check-ins and an open-door policy and encourage our employees to share all feedback with their leaders. If you would prefer to connect with our Human Resources department, please reach out to Jennifer Drohan at (847) 701-1620. Thank you.
The company boasts a commitment to 1440 service. I have witnessed this to be true on so many different occasions - internally and externally. We truly take a HUMAN first approach to human resources, along with ensuring compliance and offering beyond competitive services. The growth opportunities far surpass just professional aspirations - we are all encouraged to grow as individuals and live the pillars personally. It's an open door environment and the leaders are aiming to hone in on not only the needs of the business and our clients, but their key stakeholders - the employees. I've treasured my employment here since the day I began and honestly feel more like a family member than just an employee.
Cons
Workloads aren't necessarily balanced across team members. Growing pains that I know are being assessed now.
