Pros

-Good atmosphere in section -Good nature of colleagues -Learn electrical testing used in practice

Cons

- For Graduate Engineer Trainee, Review system is used as a tool for harassment 6-8 written test + 8-10 interviews (reviews). -6,9,11 months review (interview) in training +director's review + 3 other wirittentest and interviews in probation as if like 1 crore Rs. package. Common, Even in companies like Google this many reviews are not there. -Your training or probation period or one of these two will surely gets extended about 3 months so waste of time. -In review and upper management is very narrow minded and there will be always partiality. -The upper management like Director, HOD are like that, if a question is asked by them in review (interview) and they don't know the answer or they are thinking that the answer of question is wrong or different, then even your answer is right but they won't convince or you can't convince them even if you show Wikipedia or Book. -Task of each managers and mostly Director is how to oppose and discourage the employee by telling (punching) daily that you are doing nothing good and you don't know anything technical. -They are acting like they always follows Quality and for checking that how the new employee is familiar with Quality Manual and Management System Procedure, these so many reviews are arranged & act like that Quality is always followed but in reality even if you don't do testing because it is not agree with quality then your manager will force you to do the testing even if it violates the quality manual to achieve income goal.So Directors and HOD are just do acting. -In reality is that you are not given much training but in name of training they make you to do the testing, which again violets their Quality Manual. -As an fresher they use you to do testing in stipend of Rs. 21000 per month so that they need not recruit the experience testing engineer for about Rs. 5 lacs per annum. -Please keep in your mind that if you are joining as an Engineer Trainee just after BE/BTech then after 1 year also your training period is most likely (90 % cases) to be extended about 3 months and the main reason behind this is that by extending your training period they can make you work work for same salary without any increment or delay in increment so need not pay higher salary for 3 months. & you will work like labour for 3 months at same stipend. -Your training period will be extended or not that depends on how much they require you in section means workload and manpower irrespective of that how good or bad your written test and review performance. -Insulting behavior towards employees and trainees (specially in reviews for trainees). -Only join if you have no other better options

Not Good for new joining people

Pros

1. If you are permeant employee (the probability of becoming permanent is 0), no one will fire you even if you do not work (sit ideally as more than 70% employs), talk roughly with anyone even with management and with director also. In any condition they will not fire you (as no one has right in ERDA to fire employs) only could transfer the section or site. 2. Work life balance (as you don't have to do work). 3. You could use mobile/laptop or personal gadgets whole working hours.

Cons

1. ERDA will terminate the training of trainee (New joining through college placement). 2. ERDA will also terminate the probationary employee without any reason (May extend the probation period for formalities eventually they will fire after probation). 3. Don't give increment regularly. 4. Increment (if happen) would between 3% to 5%. 5. They don't have any method to measure the performance of employee as a result you will get pre decided % by management (sit ideally and may get 5%). 6. No one has sound knowledge (People have "If you cannot convince them, confuse them" mentality). 7. They will take intermediate review for trainee and probationary employee in which they only ask about uncertainty and quality, not ask technical question. You will be technically judge by only these two parameters (Even they don't ask any technical question). The reviewer may be non technical person but they could ask you technical question and make you wrong also :) (Same scenario for interview). 8. Lots of corruption in organization (Need under table money, join ERDA). 9. Notice period is 90 days, they will not relive before that even if you are ready to negotiate with paid leave or money. 10. Management: 10.1. Not government organization nor privet. 10.2. Bunch of people form other industries (Which are management) will hire puppet (Director) who run the organization for 2 - 3 years (who actually don't have any authority). They will dodge the responsibility to each other when it comes to serous decision. 11. There is union in organization who is continuously fighting with management for increment (Which they have not got since more than 5 year). If you are permeant employee, the whole union group will torcher you to join the union (With joining amount of 4 figure, which is however worth less to pay).
