Pros

If you can find common ground with anyone, you may make friends. These people will treat you like family.

Cons

In the event that you don't find your "clique," you will feel utterly alone. Management makes very emotional decisions and whether or not you fit in is crucial.

Pros

Casual dress code, There are some nice people there, Great hours (8:oo a.m.- 4:30 p.m.- No weekends). Pizza days, nice employee celebrations that you have to use your lunch break to participate in. Employer pays a % of health insurance.

Cons

The company favors long time terrible management over honesty. They will not stand behind you if you go to HR with a problem, even though they encourage you to do that. Same department head that has been there for many years has a revolving door of employees in and out of her department because she is very difficult to work for. Many people in the company know this and will tell you this. Once you go to HR and voice your concerns over a toxic work environment...they will find a reason to fire you. Everyone in my department complained about her, but were afraid to ask for help from upper management/ H.R. in fear of losing their job. I did....and I lost my job. They will claim to try and fix the issues... but will not. They will bring you in to HR to discuss your concerns together in front of your aggressive manager and pretend to address them. They will not investigate the issue and then will implement a plan that they will not adhere to. This is a very unprofessional way to handle an HR issue. There is also no room for advancement, and special treatment for some departments vs others. It is very blatantly obvious. There are a lot of friends and family connections there. Also there were not enough employees for my department and they do not pay enough for the amount of workload we had every day! It was a very stressful situation. There was absolutely no down time due to poor management decisions from my department head. There were 2 people taking on the workload of 4 people in my department. Also no room for advancement because special treatment goes to the family and friend connections.
