Pros

The people. I worked there for two years and had the honest pleasure of working with some of the best people I have ever worked with. People I will consider part of my family forever. Pay and bonus were at industry standard, although don't count too much on your full bonus

Cons

Sadly- almost everything else. Upper management are completely insane and have no idea how to run a company. Everyone with real knowledge has left. They don't understand oncology or neurology- from the science right up to how to predict revenue. The CEO of Oncology is a loud-mouthed, foul bully. BD is completely inept and have no experience or idea what they're doing. The company is a serious sinking ship

Pros

They have a very generous paid time off program and are beginning to offer competitive salaries to new hires. There are still a few really nice and really talented people left, but most of them are gone, unfortunately.

Cons

Read through all the reviews and pay attention to the dates. The older comments talk about a great company with genuine people committed to a real mission to help people. The newer comments talk about how all these nice people have been let go and replaced with bobble heads all trying to please the head honcho who is mean spirited, and feels contempt for anyone who is not as "driven" as him or as "smart"as him. Basically , he feels contempt for all of his employees. And he wants his leadership team to fix them or fire them. And they comply, as bobble heads tend to do.

Pros

There are a handful of truly wonderful people at Eisai, mentors, and leaders are few and far between. Your job satisfaction will truly depend on your ability to see past the fog and choose the right business unit to work for. There are many "wolves in sheep clothing" who will scapegoat their teams rather than take ownership of their own leadership shortcomings.

Cons

Unfortunately, this company is not even close to what it used to be. Management is menacing and relies on threatening and criticizing employees output levels when over the last 7 years, all employees have been doing is working harder with less and fewer resources all the time. Management misleads employees all the time to paint a difficult but still hopeful business situation. Employee morale is beyond low, and those paying attention know the true writing on the wall. Middle managers are not looking to strengthen and build the ranks, to ensure proper training and resources to enable employees to succeed. A manager is not free to make their own decisions on their accounts, instead, you must anticipate and basically be an information scavenger to be able to manage just the basics. Every aspect of your job will be dictated by a ladder-climbing supervisor whose sole purpose is to secure their own survival and their view of proper account management is basically doing everything to promote their agenda, not what is best to manage business partner relationships to build trust and alignment. Partnership deals are only entered into for the sole purpose of finding a quick way to exit the partnership once the deal is signed, regardless of explicit guidelines and performance based project tracking.
