Pros

ECI is an extremely process driven organization. Adherence to Agile Scrum practices is taken seriously and you will always have lines of communication to get help. Weekly meetings with your supervisor assure that you aren't lost in the process. Daily stand up meetings are used to ensure you are aware of what your team is doing and also allow opportunity to reach out for assistance. Also, ECI is very interested in helping you grow into roles you are interested in filling. Just ask and you'll be very pleased at how willing management is to work with your career goals.

Cons

Training is very unstructured. My training was to be given links to the process manuals and then spend a few days in pair programming to work with my mentor. After that i was basically turned loose and told to ask questions if i had them. I didn't get a formal overview of the product I was working on outside of a very detailed manual that was too much to digest without understanding more about the project. That said, I always had people available for questions when i had them, but sometimes it is hard to know what to ask until knowledge of the big picture has grown.

Pros

1. Easy interviewing process 2. Great people to work with 3. Some interesting work 4. A relaxed environment for new developers to get their feet wet with a wide array of software 5. There were some very good times and there is a camaraderie amongst developers(until they quit) The reason I would recommend working here is only if you're a new developer. There isn't much growth potential for new developers.

Cons

1. The pay is mediocre for starting developers and there is zero salary negotiation. When I tried to negotiate I was told I would be "disqualified" from the position. At that time I already put a good amount of time in as an intern 2. Upper management (one person in particular, look above) 3. Disorganized. There is no structure to the teams of the projects I worked on. Everyone was a full stack developer and there was a tech lead and that was about it. Planning and peer reviewing was a long and painful process. 4. Very low potential to grow. There was a coworker I knew who was reasonably competent at his job and he was not given a significant raise or promotion in the years he has been working there. I also learned that his current salary at 3+ years is about the same as my salary was when I started there. 5. High retention rate, low employee satisfaction makes the office depressing 6. Very aggressive employee tracking and timekeeping. You're not supposed to leave the building without swiping your card. Why hire us if you don't trust us? 7. The office space was cramped 8. Benefits were not great. I got a <$100 dollar gift card as my yearly bonus 9. The office has a weird smell to it
