Bad Management and no regards to employees

Pros

None what so ever. As previous comments it's a real struggle to say anything good about this place. It is so bad, words fail me!!!

Cons

Very poorly managed. Care nothing for the staff, all take take take and not prepared to give anything back!! Previous failed attempts at running businesses speaks volumes. Management talk a good talk but in reality can no way deliver. They like the idea of running a big company but have no idea what makes one successful. My advice, look elsewhere!!

Thank you for your feedback which has been noted and would add that our existing Management Team have been employed for a number of years and are doing a great job to maintain the day to day of the business. The business has always been a difficult one to manage, although none are easy which are generally down to the last minute requests we receive on a regular basis but by embracing and reacting, and most importantly with a positive dedicated team, this has made Eco Signs very successful and will continue to strive and deliver a fast efficient service. We do have very high standards and expectations and unfortunately not every new recruit can deliver both what the business and client needs are. However your comments have are taken seriously.

Pros

If I'm honest I'm struggling to find any Pros. I worked with a team of staff that were both talented and great to work with. As their manager I couldn't have asked for a better team. Their commitment in the face of adversity was remarkable.

Cons

The bad management of this company stems from the top down. The owner not only do not have a clue in business (as is indicated by a string of failed other business in their past along with law suits and court appearances) but also have no respect for their staff, with a tow the line or your out attitude (often quoted in those exact terms) You are expected to work, at whatever level of the company you are at, 'as required' and are seen as a problem if the most important thing day and night is the job. The main problem stems from not being able to manged client expectation from the very top. A 'yes man' causes all the issues by agreeing to everything, without consultation with senior management or other directors then expecting everyone in the company to make it happen, so he dosnt loose face, even if the task in hand is either unachievable. if you fail, despite highlighting the issues, this is then your failing. This review may be beginning to sound like sour grapes, which i can assure you its not. more a warning to anyone considering employment here. if you believe what is said at interview or in adverts, please dont be fooled. It is very much smoke and mirrors at best and at worst out and out lies. I failed do to do adequate research before joining. having now the insider knowledge and more research behind me the owners of this company have but one thing on their minds lining their pockets and using whatever methods are required and regardless of the impact on other people. Please once again...do adequate research on this company before committing. Have the contract ready by your solicitor (its worthless!) research the previous names of the company (which has changed three time and been in liquidation twice. Also the business past of the main shareholders, their other failed business and previous court appearances. My advice.. stay clear!

Very disappointed that you had such strong and negative feelings about our business and our clients and were not happy at Eco Signs. We were very clear at interview and you were fully briefed and advised of the nature of the Industry and our client demands which is very challenging and in Management this is certainly not a 9 - 5 job. Also 40% of our workforce have been employed by Eco Signs for more than 10 years and 30% - 5 years and would add that many employee's have left and returned but we do fully understand and appreciate the pressure's of the day to day business. The Housing and Construction Industry as we all know was one of the worst hit industries through the recession and hit every business and individual.

Pros

A great team of people to work with

Cons

Complete lack of leadership here! staff turn over in the last 18 months 50 + people from sales directors, Marketing managers, Account managers to production staff and fitters. No training in my time there, left to perform alone and if you don't cut it within 4 weeks you are gone. Many did perform well but Eco's problem was not recognising this or being too arrogant to ever imagine that the "hired help" may have some good points and taking their comments on board. Sad to see the responses from the MD - still thinks they are great, Speak to your clients and see what they say - assuming you have any left.
