Cons

1) Biasness by Senior Management. 2) Bootlikers tend to get promoted than hard workers. 3) Business comes first. Employees second. 4) Appraisals are poor. Inspite of boost in edtech sector, no increments in 2020. 5) IJP,s are not taken seriously and more of external hiring than internal promotion. 6) Lacks process and Policy. 7) want employees to work for their 10x vision but no loyalty in letting employees grow 2x 8) Grooming and training needs only asked in goal setting but no initiative to follow up and coach employees for next level.

Dont be fooled by the "Great Place to Work" certification

Pros

Benefits were superior and always looking to improve benefit offerings.

Cons

Do not be fooled by the Great Place to Work certification or the positive ratings on Glassdoor. There was a large PR movement to build this page and although at that time business and the atmosphere was great, it quickly changed when terrible management practices evolved and poor budgeting ( or lack of any budgeting) started the downward spiral. Day after day, management had no guidance of the direction of the business, overspent, overhired and total lack of transparency as to how the business was doing. Next came mass layoff and done in a way we always prided ourselves would never happen. Easy to blame the pandemic and a hurting economy when in reality lack of leadership is leading to the implosion. After almost 6 years, everyday should not still feel like the chaos of startup. I would seriously consider this organization before accepting an offer. Also, compensation seems to be much higher elsewhere.

Horrendous leadership

Pros

There are some amazing people in the rank and file who really want to make an impact and do their jobs well.

Cons

Unfortunately said amazing people are not supported and set up for success. The leadership is completely clueless and there is zero accountability at that level. Failures have only resulted in people being laid off while all of the leadership seems to hum along. They are not transparent with the employees, leading to a culture of toxic positivity. They taut how they are improving financially and only highlight "wins" while ignoring the fact that it was on the backs of people's livelihoods. There is no strategy except to save money now so no raises and no bonuses. There's no idea of where your career will go because no one cares or asks. HR is lost. It's a sinking ship and you should not go work there right now.
