Pros

I you want your career to rot away in your final years before retirement then this is the perfect company for you. They give you free fruit. There are some decent people working here. Some people have worked there for a very long time so the environment is obviously acceptable to the right type of person.

Cons

As stated above, without question the worse company I have ever worked for. Employees are not trusted to do anything and are utterly disempowered. There is no innovation and their business practices don't seemed to have changed since the 1990s. The technology stack is laughable and as stated in other reviews they micro manage everything and you are swamped under bureaucracy . Jobs roles and responsibilities seem to be changed on a whim, with nothing ever committed to paper, therefore, making the senior management very difficult to trust.

Pros

Office located in a pleasant leafy area of Milton Keynes. Salary is "not bad", though not enough to compensate for the lack of investment in staff elsewhere. Despite this, the company does have some great people to work with. Partial flexi-time allowed (within the same day). Some industry-current software is utilised. Rigid process and structure makes it easy to know who to go to with questions. Some opportunity for paid overtime. Not a bad place to build knowledge of the tools used for a couple of years, but the relevant learning plateaus sharply.

Cons

Work is rarely challenging. Professional development of the staff and long term investment in the product takes very much second place to short term profit. A lot of time is spent learning how to use the very bespoke product rather than enhancing technical knowledge. Risk-averse policies actively discourage creativity and initiative. Poor documentation and limited training makes for a steep learning curve for new starters.

Pros

Some great people work(ed) here.

Cons

Every layer of management is overbearing and micro-manages everything. Employees are not trusted. Pay is 'average' - doesn't compensate for the aggravation.
