Salary is low but seniors getting allot higher than normal employees.

1. Weak Management with bad decision making skills. 2. Management unable to look further for long-term solutions and rather pick short-term gains 3. Low increment and bonus 4. Multiple rounds of layoffs across sibling branches

Unclear direction from higher management.

Low salary, toxic colleagues, no meaningful projects, no career opportunities, team leaders who dont't know their job and only act like they do.

Tough to know where to start from Everything needs to be moved from the HQ outside US even for basics like IT installation. Cannot fathom that they've been in Detroit area since 90s but haven't even planted a foot in the industry (possibly 2.5 decades worth of failed management). Always looking for short term money by targeting small projects to just stay afloat and no real engineering projects. EDAG's own global units are competitors and thus US unit does not have any projects to work on. Top leadership interested in only pushing and retaining their favorite people from the HQ country. Old Manager protected and rewarded his friends even when they're off projects for almost a year while people working all year long on different customer sites do not even get recognition. Team lunch is thrown out so that employees do not bring up the issue. Does not utilize team's talents according to expertise and employees are left with tasks that are always doomed for failure. Very bad environment due to few individuals that becomes annoying and frustrating all the time for employees who want to give their best even during the tough market.

* Many frontend/backend/mobile developers idle for long periods with no projects. * Little opportunity for growth in terms of salary & skill. * Little or no budget for annual team-events. * Workflow & tech-stack defined on a per project basis.

This review is about this certain branch in Ulm, the new managers are so bad that many people resigned when this new managers came.

There was aggressive expansion and mass hiring driven by expectations of securing a major project. Unfortunately, the deal did not materialize successfully. Management appeared unprepared to handle the large workforce afterward and was hesitant in making difficult strategic decisions. This eventually resulted in significant layoffs affecting a large portion of the department, leaving behind a much smaller software development team.
