Pros

Multiculturalism, if you're into that sort of thing. Fairly decent people, for the most part. The rest are just plain nuts.

Cons

Heavy workload, stressful environment, short-term contracts, absolutely NO chance of advancement.

Pros

originally great and noble objective excellent learning opportunities for junior bankers interesting projects

Cons

It seems the bank is being used by its current President as an instrument for self-promotion to a disastrous effect for the bank's operations, internal environment and employee morale.

Pros

Good salary and benefits (pension and medical insurance) Good canteen and cafeteria

Cons

The company culture at the EBRD is very bad. Too many people at all levels consider absolutely everything «important» or «urgent», and create a lot of unnecessary stress and pressure, generally just because that makes them feel important. That goes along far too many occurrences of behaviors which are disrespectful, agressive, or plain bullying and harassment. The Bank tolerates bullying and harassment far too much, particularly from managers, to the point that it has become part of the company culture. Whatever happens, HR always supports management. The various policies, trainings or campaigns against bullying and harassment are pure PR. Over the years, I have seen several colleagues crying, both juniors and seniors. Treated very poorly, and submitted to a lot of stress and pressure, they ended up bursting into tears. If you care for your well-being and mental health, the EBRD is definitely not an employer of choice.
