Pros

You may make some new friends

Cons

You will only be seen as just another number and you have no value whatsoever other than the numbers you write. The environment is one where you find other colleagues will do ANYTHING to get ahead and that rather be pleased for you, they will be annoyed that you did a deal. I never experienced anxiety in my life before but this company has certainly given me a boat load. They rarely listen to their employees and instead just tell you to get on with it. If you should ever have a sick day, need to get your car fixed, have a funeral to attend or a doctors appointment then you will be made to feel terrible for doing so. If you like being micro managed and treated like a child then this is the place for you. There is a high turnover of staff which is always a cause for concern. When leaving the company it is similar to coming out of a toxic relationship, they will play the role of the nasty ex who is jealous and will do anything to try make your life a misery. Finally, make sure to look through the reviews as current employees are often asked to write good ones which presents a false picture.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, after your departure from our team. We take all feedback very seriously, and we note that you have several criticisms. We are always looking to improve ourselves as a company at all levels and it is good to take your thoughts on board. It is important to note that there are often two sides to every story, and your experiences may not be shared by all staff. For this reason, we encourage our team members to raise such concerns through the correct channels whilst employed by us, rather than after subsequent departure. You have indicated that we have a high staff turnover: unlike many mortgage firms, we often recruit individuals from outside of the industry, with no prior experience. You may, or may not, have been in this category upon joining us. We constantly strive to take individuals of all levels of experience and develop their skillset and knowledge, to the unanimous benefit of their careers and to the service that we offer each of our clients. Some do underestimate the ongoing effort and hard work that is required to be successful with us. As a multi-award winning business at the forefront of the mortgage industry in the UK, we have very high standard for ourselves, and the services we provide. For this reason, some staff do not make the grade and this does result in a higher staff turnover. Equally, there are many candidates who do make the grade, with flying colours, and have resoundingly established themselves and their careers amongst the industries’ best. Further - we remain proud have a uniquely strong core, comprising many individuals who have served for many years. Finally, we must confirm that no current staff are under any obligation to write reviews for the company. Any reviews are the words and views of the author alone. When staff depart our team, some may do so with a strong mutual understanding that it is best for both parties. We thank you for your service and for your feedback, which we will take on board. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

Pros

Great introduction week to the company, which makes you answer quiz questions about the Liverpool football team. When big leads come in, brokers are made to compete in ridiculous pushup contests to win.

Cons

The company is completely ridiculous - I have been at the company 18 months now and have hated virtually every minute of it. Managers treat staff like children - morning calls every day lasting over an hour. Sending reports each day about who you called, and what you spoke about, as well as recording this on the system. Staff are targetted if they are not seen to be working late into the night.

As a multi-award winning business at the forefront of the mortgage industry in the UK, we have very high standard for ourselves, and the services we provide. For this reason, like many successful firms, we do have performance metrics & targets that we enforce. Whilst we use these metrics as data to help our staff improve and thrive, as a regulated financial services firm it is a legal obligation to ensure that our staff are monitored by management. Sales based roles receive commission, for this reason some staff choose to put in some extra time to maximise their personal earning potential. When staff depart our team, some may do so with a strong mutual understanding that it is best for both parties. We thank you for your service and for your feedback, which we will take on board. Pros

I got invaluable mortgage experience, they really drill compliance into you and make you an expert.

Cons

Very very cliquey, limited career opportunities, they do not deliver on promises and will very much make you jump through hoops for scraps, very poor pay, managers seem to be promoted because of hitting sales stats rather than their people skills making them inefficient, certain senior managers talk down to you and make veiled threats when they are challenged.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, after your departure from our team. We are proud of our track record in taking individuals with minimal prior experience, and helping to develop them into exceptional mortgage professionals in their own right: we are glad that you feel that you have left Dynamo having gained valuable experience and skills. We take all feedback very seriously, and we note that you have some criticisms. We are always looking to improve ourselves as a company at all levels and it is good to take your thoughts on board, positive and negative. It is important to note that there are often two sides to every story, and your experiences of “cliquey” situations and “limited career opportunities” may not be shared by all staff. To some extent, every individual has a unique experience within any firm. For this reason, we encourage all staff to raise such concerns through the correct channels whilst employed by us, rather than after subsequent departure. We note that you felt there are limited career opportunities, but that you are also dissatisfied by others being promoted. To address your concerns, sales Targets are one merit by which our eligibility for promotion is assessed. For promotion we assess a number of areas individually: including sales targets, but also experience, leadership potential, commitment &work ethic, interpersonal skills and teamship. We thank you for your service, for your feedback, and wish you all the best for your future endeavours.
