-Management is awful. They require quick response to anything they need, but will ignore any non-management message or request. They constantly micro-manage, not trusting anyone to be competent at their job, which takes time away from resolving issues. So much time is wasted in meetings and keeping management up to date on everything, it's no wonder everyone works so many extra hours.
-You're expected to work extra hours regularly. There is no respect for personal time. Not on-call? Too bad, you will still get called. Your shift is over and you've already put in 40 hours this week? Too bad, you aren't tenacious enough and will probably be fired for not wanting to stay another 10 hours. Oh, and if you work extra hours, there isn't extra compensation or time off, remember, those hours are expected.
-On-call generally leads to an extra 10-15 hours of work, some of which requires a dispatch. The compensation is static. It doesn't matter how much extra time was put in, the compensation is the same. And no extra time off for a bad week, that is just what on-call entails.
-Terrible work practices. Home-grade routers were used for years in business environments. New technology is implemented without any care for testing or ensuring it is the right fit, meaning there are regular issues. Best practices are regularly ignored causing instability in client environments.
-There are always tons of fires to put out. There is never a stable week because every ticket is another fire due to the terrible business practices and technology implenentation.
-Dynamic Edge sells technology it can't deliver. It seems to follow the tactic of sell now, figure it out later.
-Management will constantly quote the core values, calling out employees that are not following them, and then perform practices that don't align to those values. Management does not practice what it preaches.
-Employees are always to blame. You aren't happy? That's your fault. You should think more positive and fix it. That is a sentiment the CEO sent out to the staff.
-There is no clear path to improve or make more money. You have to constantly badger management for a review, and then it still won't happen for 6-8 months after you first asked. There is a "level-up" system, but there is no way to follow it. Most of the requirements are unknown or have not been implemented.
