Pros

Good starting salary Opportunity for bonuses 3 weeks vacation after probation period Retirement plan is pretty good

Cons

3% is the maximum allowed for raises (non-management) Insurance benefits are just okay at best; am told they used to be suburb only a few years ago Lack of communication/accountability in the company, have to send daily emails/calls to get answers sometimes, which makes you look like you aren't driven. Advancement is stagnant, no real opportunities to move up. Heavy emphasis on lateral and outside hiring. No incentives to keeping existing talent Company-wide corporate communication meetings where everyone walks out more confused about the company's direction and health than before going in. Management is heavily into reading "how to be a manager" type books.

Pros

Stable environment where you are treated as a valued person. Family owned with strong values that guide the leadership and direction of the company.

Cons

Slow to make decisions and implement change. Can be hard to make career advancement here.

Pros

they won't be in business much longer

Cons

The operation is run by a group of uneducated, untrained, non-professionals who happen to all attend the same church. The "leadership" is inexperienced in running a production operation, and qualifications are limited to attending the same prayer study group and hunting camp and the owners. The hourly workers were hard working but not receptive to and diversity. Plan on weekly visits from the Company Chaplin, frustrating work days due to poor/no planning and scheduling, quality issues are swept under the carpet. They should learn that sometimes you need to spend money to make money, friendship and fellowship are best left to non-work related endeavors and most times the outside professional and vendors are correct.
