Pros

Part time employment for community representatives.

Cons

I worked for this company for three years and had an excellent track record. After being mistreated by a coworker (total disrespect, condescending, tossed my framed family photograph in her trashcan, false accusations) I reached out to management. When management failed to help I sought out the help of HR. The following day I was fired. The week I complained to management, an employee let me know that they were going to get rid of me and told me my job was posted on a local job sight. Complete lack of training, leadership, respect, communication and consideration from management.

Pros

Good Company, for the Drees Family

Cons

If you are one of the Chosen Few, great gig. But they hire more than they need and fire the rest. When you do get terminated they will void all of your pending commissions. so you end up work for up to a year for the Drees family for NOTHING. You signed the agreement, but thats the only way you can get the job, really shameful.

Pros

Working for Drees was the best job I ever had! I enjoyed the people I worked with and the management team in Irving and at the corporate office. The team in Irving are always willing to help each other succeed. The Human Resource team is great and very helpful. They focus on training their managers, which is very refreshing. Managers need ongoing training to stay fresh and effective...especially as laws change.

Cons

The only downside some might see is upward growth may be somewhat limited in smaller divisions. In offices of 20 or less, upward growth may only happen as positions are vacated. However if you're open to relocation there are many great opportunities at the corporate office. As the housing market improves Drees will be back in the forefront.
