Pros
Most of the people in the company are nice, and the office location (which we're moving out of) is good
Cons
The department is a complete mess. Constant micromanagement (most of the time from *other* departments), upper leadership who wants to be deeply involved in processes they don't seem to understand, and management that seems to value being a part of the "in" group over efficiency or skill. You will be treated as untrustworthy, the details of your job will change at the whim of middle and upper management, and any suggestions about changing procedures for efficiency will be treated as an inherent negative and dismissed out of hand. I've heard many times how we're "trying to fix our processes", but the company has such high turnover and "this is just the way things are done" is so set in stone in leadership's minds that it actually happening seems like a dream.
