Fun, but lots of pressure!

Pros

You're allowed to create your own merchandising presentations using a plan-o-gram as a guide. Although you're following a guide, you can interpret to your store and really express yourself creatively. The customers can be a lot of fun too.

Cons

The company is doing poorly financially and have had to resort to single coverage in some locations. There isn't a lot of payroll to work with so many tasks are difficult to accomplish while providing for your customer's needs. Advancement opportunities seem to be politically based.

Pros

Good staff- they want people that are "brand", who usually wind up being really pleasant and boisterous. Opportunity to advance (when there's an open slot- many times there aren't.) Decent benefits... I haven't had a problem.

Cons

People who come into the company may make way more then you- regardless of how long you've been with the company or how well you work. If you get hurt at work it's hard to find a doctor who is willing to go with their comp. insurance- took a week to get a cast because no one knew the company they went through was. Managers have the same discount as associates now, which is kind of unfair. If they get 25%, we should at least get 30%. Overtime is hard to come by- even if you're short staffed.
