Pros

- Exposure to highly detailed projects with diverse design approaches, offering a strong opportunity to develop advanced design skills. - Consistently high design standards and a strong emphasis on aesthetic quality. - Talented colleagues who collaborate closely, fostering a strong sense of teamwork in highly demanding conditions.

Cons

- The work environment is marked by chronic leadership instability and unmanaged stress from the firm owner/principal, frequently manifesting as angry outbursts, public reprimands, and behavior that many would reasonably describe as emotionally abusive. Effective, 3rd party HR is non-existent in this company structure. - Poor project management skills and last‑minute decision‑making by the principal often force employees to assume responsibility for salvaging projects, including stepping in when leadership emotionally disengages from client meetings. - Extremely high employee turnover, with terminations that can appear arbitrary rather than performance‑based, undermines any stated commitment to employee loyalty. - Demanding and entitled clients are common, and employees bear the full impact without adequate leadership support. - The prolonged exposure to stress and dysfunction can take a meaningful toll on employee health and morale.

Pros

- Had the opportunity to work on some really interesting projects. - Talented colleagues who were supportive and collaborative.

Cons

- High turnover due to a consistently toxic work environment. - Leadership, particularly ownership, was emotionally volatile and at times verbally abusive, creating a culture of fear rather than support. It is not normal to consistently walk on egg shells at work. - Unreasonable demands and expectations without regard for work-life balance or professional boundaries. - Workflow and project management were highly inefficient, often leading to last-minute crises and long hours. - Poor communication across all levels, with little transparency or clear direction—Expectations are not communicated effectively.
