Pros

The owner of the company and upper management are fantastic! My best boss by far and above. I loved the challenges everyday provided and there was so much potential for this company to go big. The company is fulfilling a hole in IT that has previously been unnoticed or at best, improperly supported. The company literally has a powder keg of great ideas, technology, and implementations. The owner and the operations manager I reported to were very understanding and flexible. I found out I had some medical issues while employed and instead of dropping me when my job performance suffered, they were patient and helped encourage me to work through it! I cannot offer enough positive words for the owner and his character.

Cons

The coworkers, and low/middle management are toxic. There is a lot of inter-office gossip which borderlines on slander. The upper level management and owner of the company are trying their best to bring it under control but it just doesn't seem to be moving along. The pay was a little low for my position but not enough to warrant real concern (I had no degree during my employment). The Standard Procedures change far too often. Yes the company is growing and they are learning how to do business better, but things changed too often and never really took hold with staff. Most staff are not qualified to do their job properly and thus rely on more experienced employees and management for assistance leading to a lot of stress and just wasting time waiting for a solution. There aren't many opportunities to advance or move into a greater position.

Dear Anonymous, First, I want to say thank you very much for the kind words about me personally, and the complements of our business potential, and work and challenges that you enjoyed while employed with us. I am aware of your feelings about the environment, and some of your previous co-workers. Unfortunately, I wasn’t made aware of your feelings prior to your resignation. We worked with you through some of your medical issues, but you didn’t give me a chance to work on the HR issues you mentioned before leaving. Since your departure many things have changed, and I can say with confidence I think you would find the changes positive. I hope you have found success in your new venture, you were a very bright employee. I truly wish you the best. To any potential new candidate that might be considering employment with Digital Technology Partners, I want to share some of my personal beliefs as the owner of the company. Our company is great, because of the employees that work within it. I feel life is too short for micromanagement, and undue stress. I believe in my people, and hire them to do the job they were hired to do. If you perform, you will be asked very few questions. If you are not performing, we will see what we can do to help. We try to make everyone successful. Open communication is key, and that is all I ask from anyone. Sincerely, Jonathan Kendrick

Not an ideal place to work at all.

Pros

The company has the potential of being a decent place to work. The IT Staff in T1 and most of T2 are friendly and helpful. When you ask your peers for help they will try. The company is pretty easy about dress code and tardiness.

Cons

I regret writing this review because I have the upmost respect for the owner of this company. I have no doubt he cares for his customers; however, he has lost control of his company to middle management that are extremely passive aggressive and shows favoritism to those in his “click”. The business itself has great potential but is severely held back by management that doesn’t listen to the concerns of it’s entire staff. They put people in charge that have no experience and do not know how to treat or talk to people. When you have at least 7 or 8 people complain about the aggressive and rude behavior of one person you are told that all these people have the problem and doesn’t bother to listen and/or address the very problem that is destroying morale. As a former employee I can tell you that almost every customer is setup differently and techs are left to reverse engineer the setup on almost every call. The field techs don’t complete the jobs they are assigned when going on site and tell the customer to call the helpdesk for problems. This typically leaves the customer frustrated and this also creates extremely long hold times to get help. Meanwhile the helpdesk team consistently experiences changes in setup and configurations and while trying to get to calls quickly, their hands are tied because they aren’t given the information they need to do the jobs properly. When you send emails asking for help you do not get replies. While all of this is happening you have an unqualified, irresponsible, rude, and passive aggressive person hammering you about every little thing, but since this person is in the “click” this person can do no wrong and is given special privileges that would get most people fired in a normal work environment. If middle management actually addressed the issues and treated everyone equally and even acted like they were concerned with employees problems instead of blaming them this place would be a decent place to work. I would strongly recommend that you stay away from Digital Technology Partners as a means of employment or other. An Honest and truthful review will have pros AND cons as no place is perfect. Keep that in mind as you read previous reviews of this place. It should tell you quite a bit.

Pros

They give you beer on Friday!

Cons

There’s so many cons to working for this sweat shop disguised as a technology company. If you like being lied to and pulled around by upper management then this might be for you. For anyone else with dignity, spare yourselves the demoralizing interview process.

Hello, I am very sorry your experience with us was not what you expected. I have seen people mention "beer" or "alcohol" as both a positive, and negative in their reviews. At one point, we used to have "beer Friday" where after 4pm on Friday afternoons, we would offer a beer to end the week if employees wanted one. It was certainly not mandatory, and in fact its very surprising how many people did not participate. I want to make sure no one has the impression that we casually drink alcohol during the week, or all kinds of working hours. Since Covid-19, we have become a Hybrid Remote/Office workplace, and this event no longer exist. As for as your "Cons", instead of addressing them one by one, I would just like to say that we run an open and honest environment, where all employees have a "voice". All our departments have weekly meetings, and everyone has reasonable goals. We praise when goals are met, and discuss in private when they are not, but as in a positive way. We are adequately staffed, and make sure no one is overburdened for long periods of time. Sure, we get busy at times, but look to adjust and bring on additional staff if needed. Family/Work balance is incredibly important to me, and I want the same for my employees. I can promise I never lie to any of my employees. I am not afraid to have open and honest conversations and work through things given the opportunity. I hope wherever you ended up after your employment with us was the right place for you. I wish you the best. Sincerely, Jonathan Kendrick Founder, CEO
