      Shady Business, Quick employee turnover

      Pros

      The employees really stick together and make the environment bearable

      Cons

      The head management only cares about themselves. They nickel and dime every client they work with to pocket the profits themselves. They are very shady with their practices and tip toe around the truth to their employees and clients. Digital Media Solutions does not care about their employees at all, pay and benefits are poor. Employee retention rate is extremely low, very quick turnover. Also, there is no room to grow as an employee as all the head positions are pretty much set in stone.

      A company on the verge of an employee mass exodus

      Pros

      The PTO policy is "unlimited" but in reality it's at the discretion of your supervisor. The average vacation taken is typically under two weeks. If you have a cool boss, then you're fine. If you do not, tough luck. They apparently have a corporate retreat that I heard was fun. Relatively well known name in the lead industry.

      Cons

      The only thing stopping people from leaving is a global pandemic. The moment other companies begin hiring, DMS will not be able to keep up with the turnaround. Upper management leveraged COVID19 to cut pay and benefits of their employees, including those that routinely produce the most revenue. They will routinely fail to pay vendors, clients, etc. while keeping you in the dark. The higher ups will give incredibly high goals with zero reward. If you fail to meet these goals, you are punished; if you succeed, nothing happens other than next month's goal increases. There have even been times they move the goal post. All criticism is met with scorn. They have a propensity of passing over the larger revenue producers for people that simply feed into their echo chamber. They are also easily the most unorganized company I have worked at during my 20+ years in the business.

We have 6 offices nationwide and 1 in Toronto, so while we are one of the fastest growing technology companies in our market, we are fortunate enough to still have a small office feel where everyone knows each other’s name and feels a part of the team. Because our organization is still young every employee is critical to our success. We do hold our employees to a high standard of accountability when we have tasks that need to be completed, and when projects are time sensitive, we do expect work to come first. With this accountability needed from each employee, we also expect leadership to be held accountable as well. When it comes to matters of ethics and integrity, we take this very seriously and respectfully disagree with a few of your statements. We appreciate that some bias may exist in all reviews, but it is important that potential candidates understand that while we believe our company is a positive and fun place to work, most importantly, our corporate culture is grounded in our core values of trust and integrity.
