Pros
- Work Life Balance (Depending on your department) - Less strict procedures - Good location for daily commute - Open type cubicle given instead of hotseats - Flexi for Friday Prayers
Cons
- Compulsory pro-rated leave for all staffs including permanent/contract in which before signing up was not clearly briefed. Pro-rated= you will not obtain a lumpsum amount of XX leaves per year. You will earn it little by little by working which makes planning your calendar hard. - Super slow career growth in which you will maintain the same position for 10 years with the same salary as the job grade remains and will only be promoted after 11-12 years+ of working in the company - Outdated policy is still being practiced though other companies in the same industry has been improving on removing what’s not needed. - Management will keep on negotiating to lowball your salary before signing up for the sake of cost-saving. Meaning that if you negotiated low for acceptance, you will receive lower for the rest of your employment. - No Work From Home option which only certain departments like I.T is allowed to. - Contemporary Kedekut style of pantry on each floors as there are no 3in1 coffee or snacks or fruits offered as the staffs are encouraged to bring their own condiments. Only marie biscuits and raw nescafes with a tub of sugar/lipton is supplied besides the powder type year 2005 coffee machine. Requesting a Delonghi or Breville coffee machine will bring a smirk to the management as the mid year of 2026 is the first time for this company to install the Coway Water purifiers. - No parking for the staffs unless you are one of the top management or OKU/pregnant and no gym access if the worker does not achieve a certain job grade. - Don’t expect any freebies or welcoming gifts as requesting for it, for example the company’s clothing will only be allowed if you have worked for a long time. - The company is still practicing calls using 1990s corded landline phone instead of Microsoft Teams call option as vintage practice should be endured. - Bonuses depends on the company’s performance. Contract workers are not entitled to. - Apart from pro-rated leaves, any other type of leaves will only be negotiated by courtesy. Emergency Leaves will only be approved with valid reason by your respective Head of Department.
