Unpleasant experience, unless your only goal in life is to work.
Pros
- The firm is profitable, there's a lot of new business - Fast-paced environment, which won't keep you bored if you like a challenge - High software quality standards; A "bootcamp" that will boost your skills if you're new
Cons
- long hours / low recognition for hard work (sweatshop) - the upper management is dominated by workaholics, and they demand the same level of commitment from anyone else in the firm - toxic environment; colleagues' behavior towards each other can be best described as 'adversarial', rarely friendly - the office is too quiet, and technical employees are packed too tightly together. You always think twice before coming to talk to anyone. - interviewing for a position with the company is misleading; they will skillfully make it sound like a great place (they have had a lot of practice interviewing, since people leave on a regular basis) - do not trust the careers section on the website, and the phony recruiting video; half of the speakers in the video have already left the firm
