Pros

Excellent people in various departments. Marketing. Training. Operations.

Cons

Delusional goals. Employees frequently cheating the systems. Training store managers and normal GMs find ways to cheat, whether it be on GEM, speed of service, food costs, labor. Sales are the only honest figure that Del taco has. Upper management (regional and area directors) are aware of cheating. Do nothing to discourage it. All they care about are their numbers. They also stop viewing their managers as people. There was a point where "passion, integrity, efficiency, courage, and excellence" were a legitimate creed within the company. that all went down the drain. Expected to work ridiculous hours. Your life takes a spot in the back burner. It's absurd. Lots of strenuous demands and really, no reason for it. Now that the culture is guest centric, we are held accountable for your little surveys you fill out that are on the bottom of your receipt. Give us a four? We are red and our bosses are on our cases. It's fives or nothing. DEL TACO DEHUMANIZES ITS EMPLOYEES AND IS A CHEATING COMPANY.

Pros

This is a place to get a quick paycheck, but don't expect to be treated with respect. If you like a fast paced environment where your superiors will treat you like garbage, this company is for you.

Cons

Constantly short staffed. You will be written up for doing your job. They will send you home and write you up for things like being "out of it" and reprimand you for not being overly happy and smiling. They will offer you a promotion, then revoke your promotion when you aren't meeting expectations because they refuse to train you in your new position.
